Our name is inspired by the Norse giantess and Earth Goddess Jord; lover of Odin and mother of Thor, the protector.
In mythology, she embodies the fertile ground, the cycles of growth, and the enduring force that sustains all life.
Her very name means “earth” or “land” in Old Norse, reflecting both abundance and responsibility:

We honour this story in a modern context.
We believe the Earth is not a resource to be consumed, but a living system to be nurtured.
